Wegovy Tablets for Weight Loss
Wegovy® tablets for weight loss contain semaglutide in a once-daily oral tablet. They are used to support weight management in eligible adults alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.
Oral Wegovy provides another treatment option for people who may prefer a daily tablet rather than a weekly weight loss injection. Treatment is prescribed following a clinical assessment to make sure it is safe and appropriate for you.
How Wegovy Tablets Work
Wegovy tablets contain semaglutide, which acts like a natural gut hormone called GLP-1. It helps regulate appetite, slows how quickly the stomach empties and helps you feel fuller for longer. This can make it easier to reduce food intake and support long-term weight management.
Why Choose Oral Wegovy for Weight Loss?
Wegovy oral tablets may suit people who would prefer not to use an injection. They are taken once a day, with the dose increased gradually according to the prescribed treatment schedule so your body can adjust to semaglutide.
As with other weight management treatments, Wegovy works best as part of a wider approach that includes healthier eating, increased physical activity and ongoing support from your healthcare professional.
Is Wegovy Oral Semaglutide Suitable for Me?
Wegovy tablets for weight loss are a prescription-only medicine. Treatment is only supplied following an appropriate clinical assessment where our prescribing team considers semaglutide safe and suitable for you.
Wegovy is not suitable for everyone. It should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding and is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. Your medical history, current medicines and other relevant health information will be reviewed before treatment is prescribed.
