Oral Thrush is one of the conditions for which you can make a NHS Health Appointment. Oral thrush, also known as oral candidiasis, is a fungal infection caused by the overgrowth of a yeast called Candida albicans. While this yeast naturally resides in the mouth, factors like a weakened immune systems, certain medications like antibiotics and steroid inhalers, and poor oral hygiene can contribute to  the development of oral thrush.
